PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Flappy Lab (“we”, “us”) handles information for the Flappy Lab game on Reddit (the Devvit app installed on communities such as r/FlappyLab) and for this website at flappylab.lol. It is our own policy for this app. It does not replace Reddit’s Privacy Policy.

1. Who this covers
Flappy Lab is a browser game that runs inside Reddit posts. We do not run a separate login. If you play, create, or post through Reddit, Reddit authenticates you. This website is a public marketing site and does not require an account.
2. What we collect and why
We collect only what the game needs to run:
- Reddit identity. If you are logged in, we receive your Reddit user ID and username from Reddit so we can attribute posts you create, record scores, and count unique players.
- Game posts. When you post a custom game, we store the title, game settings, and the images or GIFs you uploaded for that game (bird, pillars, background).
- Scores and play counts. Logged-in score submissions are stored per post (username, user ID, best score). We also keep a per-post set of user IDs to count unique players. Guests can play; they cannot submit scores.
- Official daily games. The app may fetch public game files (images and JSON) from GitHub (
raw.githubusercontent.com) to publish an official daily game. That request does not send your Reddit identity or scores to GitHub. - Device preferences. Mute / sound preference may be stored in your browser (local storage) so the setting persists on that device.
- This website. On flappylab.lol we use Vercel Analytics for aggregated page-view metrics. We do not use that data to identify you in the game.
We do not ask for email, passwords, payment cards, or location. We do not sell personal data.
3. How we use it
- Show and host playable games inside Reddit posts.
- Attribute custom-game posts to the Reddit account that created them.
- Show per-post leaderboards (top scores and usernames) and player counts.
- Publish official daily games from public files we fetch server-side.
- Operate and improve this website.
4. Where it is stored and who we share with
Game configs, scores, and player IDs are stored in Reddit’s Devvit Redis for this app. Posts themselves live on Reddit. We do not copy that data to our own database.
We share information only as needed to operate the product:
- Reddit. The game runs on Reddit’s platform. Reddit processes data under Reddit’s own policies.
- GitHub (server-side fetch only). We download public daily-game assets. We do not upload player data there.
- Vercel. This website is hosted on Vercel; Analytics may process visitor metrics.
- Optional rewards site. Links to flappylab.influex.net go to a separate program. If you use it, that site’s operator is responsible for the data you give them.
Leaderboard usernames and public game posts are visible to other players on Reddit. Do not upload images you are not allowed to share.
5. Retention and deletion
- If a Flappy Lab post is deleted on Reddit, we purge that post’s stored game config, leaderboard, and player registry.
- Browser mute preference stays on your device until you clear site data.
- To request deletion of remaining app data tied to your Reddit account, email tomas@influex.net from a way we can match to your Reddit username. We will delete what we control in the app’s storage. Reddit account and post deletion is handled in Reddit’s settings.
6. Children
Flappy Lab is a general-audience game on Reddit. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use of Flappy Lab after an update means you accept the revised policy.
